As a postpartum doula I will provide non-medical physical and emotional support for the mother. I will make your world run smoothly around you so you can concentrate on your new infant. Some of the things I can do are as follows:
My Fee Schedule I will do postpartum care on an hourly, daily or weekly basis, during the day or overnight. I require a minimum of 4 hours during the day and 8 hours overnight. It is my preference to start as soon as possible after the birth of your baby. Even though you have other help, you may find it helpful to have me there to help you adjust to your new roles as parents and assist with breastfeeding issues on those first few days at home. I work on a floating fee schedule of $20-$30 per hour. It is preferable to have the first consultation before the birth of your baby, but I will also do last minute care subject to my availability. During the initial consultation, if we agree that I am the best doula for you, we will set up a schedule and your specific requirements will be discussed. Upon signing of the agreement, I will require a non-refundable deposit equal to 10 hours pay to secure my availability. This deposit will be used towards payment of my final week's service and is nonrefundable. I will expect each week's payment in advance the first day of the week that I arrive at your home. If for any reason I am not available on the date agreed upon, I will attempt to find a suitable substitute and will refund to you any money already paid. References are available at your request. |
